Late Update: a reader ponits out that I may have the name of the Chateau wrong. There are dozens along the route so it's quite possible I'm off by one or two, but I'm too lazy to look it up now.

Reminds me of all the vacations I've spent in Alsace.
One little detail though: the château you're showing isn't the Haut Koenigsbourg, it rather looks like the château de l'Ortenbourg in Scherwiller ;)
That photo of peeing into the hedge, or whatever it is, seems very typical of what we would see on the roadsides in France.
At least they are facing away from the camera!
