Coldplay and the Financial Mess

IS IT POSSIBLE that Coldplay penned a song that summarizes the current financial crisis:

I used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning I sleep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own

I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemies eyes
Listen as the crowd would sing:
"Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!

One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt, and pillars of sand

The big boys in the banking sector ruled the world just a few short months ago and now the US Government is debating whether to bail them out -- to the tune of over $700 Billion!

This song is so is so, so good. But I also love #'s 1,2,3,4,5,8,9, and 10 on the new album. I don't care much for #6.
