RODE MY FIRST real col in France today. Nothing to brag about, but painful on the legs nevertheless. Details: 13.7k, 710 meters high, don't know the average grade -- but quite a bit steeper at the front end of the ride (with a big kick up at the very end).

I'm guessing your talking about cycling. Am I right?
Congratulations....when we were in Grasse we road from Valbonne up to Gourdon....there was a small part of the climb that was 12% grade....I think was going 4 mph.
Where did you go? Would love to hear more about it. Did you watch the Giro today?????
